How do I configure Confluence to send plain text emails?

I have a subset of users who cannot receive emails that are not plain text, therefore they cannot receive the emails that Confluence sends since they are HTML. I wanted to see if there was a way to set Confluence to only send plain text emails. I know it is possible in JIRA, but have not found a way to do it in Confuence.
