Headings of table shifts when page published

When I have some of the cells merged in the header section, the edit page and preview show the table headings correctly. But when published the headings of the cells that are not merged get shifted to the leftmost side of the table.

Hi @Shah Shrey Amiya (Embedded)

I can't reproduce this, which gets me these questions:

  • Which confluence version do you have?
  • What is your exact procedure to create this table?
  • Can you reproduce this on every page?

This screenshot is from the view mode from a published page

Hello @Dominic Lagger ,

We are currently using 7.10.2.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  • Create a table and enter the headings.
  • Add another row and make it a heading row.
  • Merge the cells which do not have secondary headings.
  • Preview and Publish the page.

I have tried creating a page in different spaces. But this issue is there with every page.

Regards,
Shrey

Okay, thanks for sharing the information.

Regards, Dominic

I don't see any such options available. I have talked to my internal team and have raised a ticket with Atlassian.
Thank you for your support

Regards,

Shrey

Please let me know, when you fixed this issue and how you did it.

I'm really interessted in this strange behaviour...

Update:

I was informed by the IT team that this is a known bug in confluence for the current version. And it is expected for the issue to resolve with the next upgrade sometime in Feb-22.
