Excerpt Include macro - page history problem

since we use Excerpt Include macro in a page, the page history comparison doesn't work: doesn't show the changes (new line or deleted lines).

Can you please advise?

Hello Rumi,

Unfortunately as Thomas states this would be difficult as the Content you are displaying is not part of the page itself. What I believe we could do is to create a feature request, that I have already raised here CONF-28699 which should address this.

Hopefully would be implemented in the future.

Hi Rumi,

there is no change in the page, it is still just "excerpt include", no matter how many changes are there in the included page. And because there is no change, there is no history.

That's one of the disadvantages of these dynamic contents.

By right it shouldn't be the case. Would you like to compare the changes inside the the excerpt-include macro? If you do, you could just check the comparison in the source page.
