Editing Office Files in Confluence

Hello,

is there another way to edit Office-files on the fly in Confluence, than using the atlassian companion app?

We recently updated our confluence system from 6.5 to 6.15.2. 

Now our users missing the edit in confluence function.

Hi,

I don't think there is any other good way to edit office filles.

Advantage of Companion app is editing/opening any file if user has configured asociated file formats with application.

I have companion installed but no longer see the option to edit a Word Doc with it. I made a page with the fabric editor. Is this function lost in the new editor? If not, do I have to have it installed for the options to appear? I have a lot of users who are not comfortable yet in Confluence and making it easier to edit existing content as we migrate is really important to implementation success.
