Hi,
Is there a way I can choose the values defined in the status macro using a dropdown list?
Basically, I have a status column and don't want to manually put the status there rather have all the statuses in the dropdown and choose whichever status is required.
Thanks,
Aamir
For this purpose we use Handy Status that come with Handy Macro.
It has mulitple advantages, including sync value to page label and historic of status changes.
And just to say, I am not related to the editor :)
Cheers.
Hi @Patrice and @AAMIR ANSARI ,
I'm Elena from the Handy Macros for Confluence team. Our app will be a perfect fit for your use case. With Handy Status, you can create multiple sets of statuses for different workflows, change them in the page view mode, instantly see the last changes, and connect with page labels for content organization and quick search. Please see the examples below.
I hope that helps. Feel free to drop me a line at eovdienko@stiltsoft.com. I'd be glad to walk you through our app features.
Cheers,
Elena

Hey @AAMIR ANSARI I’m not sure what you’re doing exactly, but my team’s app Orderly Databases might be helpful to you. With it, you can create databases to help with all sorts of use cases, like project management, employee directories, and a light CRM.
One of the field types you can add is a Select field, which does just what you’re asking for. You can create a “Status” column in the database and then set all the possible values. Then, people can change the status easily for the list you’ve defined. You can also display and change that database entry on another page, say, the actual project page. You can see this all in action within this example: https://help.k15t.com/orderly-databases/gather-and-structure-your-ideas-202615582.html
