Delete page automatically in Confluence?

Rumceisz September 21, 2016

Hi Everyone,

we'd need a functionality in Confluence: we create a page for our customers but each page should exists 30 days and then these have to be deleted. Because we will have a large number of pages, we cannot maintain them manually. Is there a feature, plugin, etc. for Confluence which would delete the page after a determined period?

Thanks, Rumi

Hi Rumi,

have a look in here, its about combining the Archiving Plugin with CLI.

It requires two steps, but it is dead simple:

  1. Set up the Archiving Plugin to archive the pages that should be deleted. Please note that this will move the pages to spaces whose name ends with "(Archive)". Configure the Confluence managed archiving job to run at 01:00AM, for instance.
  2. Set up CLI to delete all spaces whose name ends with "(Archive)"! Configure a cron job to run it at 05:00AM, for instance. (It leaves 4 hours for archiving to complete, which is more than enough even for very large Confluence instances.)

Cheers

You can refer this https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/11050. This should solve your problem smile

You can change period to number of days.
