Hi Team,
I have a Confluence Server instance connected with a SQL Server database. The authentication is configured inside the configuration file (confluence.cfg.xml) as usual but now, my company wants to change the authentication process by usind an external password Vault. I've tried to find any Atlassian documentation or discussion here with any information on how to configure this kind of authentication but I couldn't find any.
Does anyone have already done something like this before? I really appreciate any help on how to configure the database connection string using a password vault.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Bruno Benatti Godinho
Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
This feature was only recently released on Confluence 7.17.0.
The main product document is Encrypt database password and the encryption type you may be looking is the Custom encryption .
I hope that helps.
Kind regards,
Thiago Masutti
Hi Thiago,
I'll look further into this documentation but It's probably what I need.
Thank you very much! :)
