We use our hosted confluence instance for internal projects, all of which are confidential. When I land on the confluence homepage without being authenticated, I get a stripped back view of the standard landing page with an empty projects list, spaces, and some guff about updates.
I don't want to see that. All I want to see is "You need to Log in. Here's a form to do so." I waste precious milliseconds on this every business day =D; IRA on the other hand does it quite succinctly and I like it.
We're still using confluence 5.5.1, which from memory is quite old. Will and upgrade change this behaviour?
Well https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/customising-the-login-page-163938553.html looks like a plan, however....
- Customisations to the Confluence login page will need to be reapplied when you upgrade Confluence. Consider this before making drastic changes to the layout, and be sure to keep a list of what you have changed for your upgrade process later.
seems like it could be painful.
