After updating the team calendar to version 6.0.25 the field "summary" in the standard event types "travel, leave, birthdays" is a required field (it probably was before but it took us some time to update).
A user is asking if there is a possibility to change it so that it is no required field as the icon seems to be sufficient for showing that it is a birthday for example.
Hello there Angela! I understand that users may be used to the fact that this field was not a required field for Team Calendars event creation. However, this necessity has changed in more recent versions of Confluence.
The Summary field is akin to the What field found under the generic event type called Events.
As of today, those fields are required and there is no setting to remove this status from them. They are required due to the internal database organization found in Team Calendars and Confluence.
This works much like when creating a page. We are unable to create a page without a title, for example.
