Create your own navmap theme - navigation map color

I want to change the color of the navigation map cells. I found this guide in the community but I think it is outdated:

I followed the updated official guide and created a new file navmap-mytheme.vm and also linked the navmap in confluence with the custom theme "mytheme" but the page stays blank. I put the file in the following directory:

WEB-INF/classes/com/atlassian/confluence/plugins/macros/advanced

Can you tell me if I need more files (css, js) to make it display correctly. I just want to switch the color from blue to yellow.
