Copy Pasting an Image from one page to another

Armon Tiongco July 22, 2013

copy pasting from one page to another references the image to the original page instead of creating a new image attachment on the new page. The bad thing is, once the original page is deleted, so is the image that has been copied on the new page.

Do we already have a solution for this? Something like copy pasting an image will create it as a new attachment on the new page?

This problem has bitten me a few times. THe solution, as far as I know, is to either attach the image to the new page in addition to the original page... or, if you use the image in ALOT of pages, add it to your /images directory and then reference it inline rather than using Confluence's copy/paste function.
