Controlled document number generator macro/plugin

Are there any plugins available for generating document numbers for controlled documents?

We're looking to use Confluence for all of our document ation and are trying to figure out how to best use it for controlled documents. One of the important features we need is to be able to generate a unique document number. It would be preferable if you could drop down a list of prefixes Confluence would generate the next unique number.

I realize that I can write a plugin but I'm looking for something already written (community or commercial).

Thanks,

Mike

You can do it using the 'child-counter' feature of the Linking Plugin. Example is here: http://wiki.customware.net/repository/display/AtlassianPlugins/Child+Counter+Supplier Regards, David Peterson
