Confluence Migrating to Another Database

Sistema Ticketing October 15, 2019

Hi,

I want to migrate the confluence database from the embedded to a MySql database. I am following the steps from this link (method one):

https://confluence.atlassian.com/confeap/migrating-to-another-database-480346927.html

But when I have to install a new confluence in another path...Should I also change the confluence ports? or in this installation the ports must be de same default port 8090?

Thanks

Hi @Sistema Ticketing ,

you don't actually need to install re-install Confluence, you can simply backup the actual folder. I would recommend simply removing the <confluence-home>/confluence.cfg.xml file, and then stopping and starting Confluence again. You can then just follow step 6 to re-import the data on the new database :

Step 6. Run the Confluence setup wizard and copy your data to your new database

Let me know if this works,
