I have a straightforward heirarchy, which is always the same, for my pages. I expected to be able to make a template so that, with one click, I could create a whole new page and its heirarchy - but this simple idea seems impossible. I feel very stupid. Help?
EDIT: I should have mentioned I am using the cloud version of Confluence. I don't have access to a server.
TIA
Richard
Templates can't do this. Unfortunately the Copy Page Tree ability hasn't been resolved yet, although it has been resolved on Server so I'd assume this is close behind.
Thanks for the clear though very disappointing reply. I added a comment and vote to the link you sent: confluence looks to be an amazing environment, but without this (I consider very basic and obvious) templating function, cannot work for us. Damn, damn, damn: it would have solved other issues of ours very well, but my pressing need at the moment is for a simple cloud-based document project system. So this is probably a deal-breaker.

You could develop or hire development of a blueprint: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/blueprints/
They're not tremendously difficult.
You could also consider augmenting your product by purchasing an add-on that provides the features you need. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.nurago.confluence.plugins.treecopy/cloud/overview
This is possible because Atlassian products have a robust API and extendability.
