Dear Community experts,
I use the blog feature a lot for release note publishing and would like to see a better linking configuration. Confluence can create blog links with dates embedded in them and use page title in the URL, but what we get right now is /pages/viewpage.action?pageId=123456
, no space id, no date, no page name. Here is the version doc that shows blogs used to be addressable by their date and page name (which is supported in 3.3v) https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF33/Linking+to+Blog+Posts
Unfortunately, I don't see this feature working in our current version 7.19.10v. Has this feature been removed from our current version?
Regards,
Raj
Hi @Rajkumar,
Information about this feature has disappeared from the documentation since version 4.0: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF40/Linking+to+Blog+Posts
Links to blog posts are now built the same way as for pages. However, links like "http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/2007/06/25/Sample+Blog+Post" still work (just checked it on the version 8.5.14) and can be used. But it looks like you now have to build links like this manually...
