Confluence Backup

While taking a backup from Jira PRD confluence to Jira TST confluence I am getting the HTTP 404 error. Also got the message that the confluence server connection has been lost. Can someone help me resolve this issue.

From my understanding, you're attempting to migrate from your production Confluence instance to a staging instance. Is that correct? 

I recommend reviewing Create a Staging Environment for Upgrading Confluence to be sure that you are following the recommend procedure.

To proceed, I'd like to know the following:

  1. Let me know which steps you have done successfully so far, and at which step you get the 404 error.
  2. Confirm the version of your staging and production Confluence instances.
  3. Check your atlassian-confluence.log file for any errors encountered when you run into the 404 error. See Working with Confluence logs for details.
