Hello,

I'm very confused: I can't seem to find the way to order the search results by date.

Say I want to find all my post on a specific page (blog): it gives me 2020 results first, not in a particular order, then the 2021 results:

I tried to google and several topics from 2019 suggest to use query editor (doesn't seem to be available in Confluence now?) or Filters (also don't seem to be available anymore?)

How do I order the posts? Seems like a very basic thing to ask for.

Thank you,

Sergey

The original date of this post is 2021.  It is 2024 and we still cannot sort by date???    Does anyone know why this feature has never existed?

We are heavy Confluence users; some searches yield over 3k results and there is no way to manually sort through all of those records.

It is very bizarre to have a search function, but no way to sort the results.

I strongly support the feature request.

The Content by Label macro offers the possibility to sort the displayed results.

@sergey.kritskiy Welcome to the Atlassian community

You can only search by the last modified, this is the only date functionality available.  There is a feature request here for what you are asking for and you should vote for it. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-5785

Hi Brant, thank you for your answer. You saying that I can search by the last modified but I actually don't see this option. As you can see on my screenshot the search results aren't ordered by date — not by created, not by modified: posts from 2020 go first, then from 2021, then some from 2020 again, then some from 2019, then I saw some 2021 in the end of the list.

I voted for the feature request, what upsets me is that this request exists from 2007.

@sergey.kritskiy yes you can search but not sort by last modified.  I agree this would be nice but I am not sure if this will ever change especially since this has been out there since 2006.

What kind of software in the year 2024 does not allow search results to be ordered?
