I am trying to set up ADFS/SAML SSO. Looking at Atlassian's documentation, I am supposed to go to the SSO 2.0 tab and select SAML authentication. However, there is no SAML authentication option in the SSO 2.0 tab...
I am only seeing the following two options:
- Login form
- Crowd single-sign-on.
Where am I supposed to configure SAML/ADFS SSO? I have looked pretty much everywhere and cannot find it.
I DO have SSL set up for the web interface as that is a pre-req. So, I don't think that is the issue.
Like Chris mentioned, basic SAML authentication is available only in Atlassian Data Center applications. For Server users to enable SAML SSO you would need a 3rd party app.
In full disclosure, I work for Techtime, an Atlassian Marketplace Top Vendor. Our app is one of the high-rated SSO apps - EasySSO.
We're known to target complex environments where there may be a need for additional authenticators – besides SAML, we provide 4 more: NTLM, Kerberos, HTTP Headers and X.509.
In case you want to give EasySSO a try, here's our detailed documentation to set up with ADFS.

Hi!
some basic SAML authentication is only available in the Atlassian Data-Center Applications, not in the Server variant. (I assume you use server by the tag to this post).
For Server, your only option is a 3rd party plugin like our - SAML Single Sign-on for Confluence.
If you decide to give our app a try here are the step-by-step guide to setup with ADFS: https://wiki.resolution.de/doc/saml-sso/latest/jira/setup-guides-for-saml-sso/microsoft-ad-fs
There are other options in the marketplace as well - you see them via this search: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?product=confluence&query=saml
As you'll see our plugin is the most commonly installed one. Hope this helps ...
Cheers,
Chris
P.S. Full disclosure, I work for resolution, a marketplace vendor.
