Can user be alerted of updates on a confluence page?

As I make changes to my confluence page, I would like for alerts of the updates to go out to the user. Is this possible?

Have the user added as a watcher to the page! They'll get updates as the page is modified!

If I add them to the home page, will this update them only for that page or any page that I modify?

If you add them to the homepage, it will update them on all changes made in that space. If you want them updated for just the specific page, you should add them as a watcher for the specific page.
