Is inline comments plugin available for confluence 5.5.2 version. If yes, Are there any notable issues installing the plugin on 5.5.2 version or is it recommended to upgrade to 5.7.1. We have license for 500 users (confluence + questions) , Do we need to purchase if we use inline comments plugin as I believe confluence 5.71 ships with inline comments plugin by default. Thanks in advance
There's a bit of potential confusion here.
There is an addon that does inline comments for Confluence 5.1 and above. It's called "Talk", but there may be others you could be talking about, but that's the only one I've seen. If it is that one, then it's valid for all versions of Confluence from 5.1 upwards, as it says on the Marketplace page for it.
However, Confluence 5.7 implements in-line comments as part of the system. It's not the Talk addon, it is internal, part of the core tool.
So, if you want inline comments in 5.5, you will need to buy Talk. If you are happy to upgrade to 5.7, then you do NOT need to buy Talk (unless it offers you features you need that the native inline comments do not)
