CCMA failing with the error: Couldn't retrieve entities to build v2 request

Hi all

I'm trying to run a test migration from our server to the cloud using CCMA (Confluence Cloud Migration Assistance). The test is always failing.

Versions of our tools are:

- Confluence server: 7.13.7 LTS

- CCMA: 3.3.9 & 3.3.7

At any case I'm receiving the following error: An unexpected error occurred during step: Migrating users and groups. Error: Couldn't retrieve entities to build v2 request.

Any idea here? does anyone facing the same problem like me?

Thank you in advance for any advice/hints

Cheers, Ramy

Hi all

I was able to fix my issue. There were changes happened behind the scene on network setting at my company. We have reviewed the instruction https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/ip-addresses-and-domains-for-atlassian-cloud-products/ and updated the settings.

I also have updated the version to the latest one CCMA 3.3.11 (published today: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1219672/confluence-cloud-migration-assistant/version-history

Thank you @Ismael Jimoh for your effort and looking at my issue.

Cheers, Ramy

Hello, we have the same problem, can you please detail your changes for the settings?

Good day Ramy,

I will raise a problem ticket with Atlassian along with letting them know you are migrating.

I will also consider dropping down to CCMA 3.3.6 as the other 2 have bugs that have impacted me and I had more success with this version.

In any case I will recommend raising a ticket to Atlassian as they could also review if the error is happening in Cloud.
generate and share a support zip and the migration id where you got the error.

Regards

Good morning Ismael

Thank you for your advices and sharing your experience with me. I have already several open Tickets with the support and I also shared with them the support zip file. I'm waiting for their answer.

I thought, I have to share my problem with community, if someone has the same problem or even has a solution.

You are right, I will give it a try with CCMA 3.3.6. I will let you know.

Thanks a lot and best regards

Ramy
