Hi everyone,
I noticed that Audit log has missing entries on Confluence DC 8.5.5, I wanted to check the dynamics of the user groups and noticed that some of the active users have no entries related to their user group assignments.
Do you know if there's a way to check Confluence errors related to audit logging? My best shot is to try confluence-logs, but I don't know what should I look for. Any help is much appreciated!
If there were errors, I would also expect them to be in one of the confluence log files, assuming you have the configurations set at the level that would catch them.

However, how have you determined there were errors? Not all actions are saved to the audit logs, and I believe it gets scrubbed over time.
Hi, Shawn,
To see if the data is intact, I check that all the currently existing users have entries related to their creation and assignment dates. I noticed that the number of users in the user group does not match the data from audit events related to Users and groups section.
I thought that it might have something to do with the logs cleanup and that the older events had been already purged, but I saw a number of relatively new users added this year who had no entries about the time they had been created and assigned to groups.

I would also expect those to stay in the logs. I think your best bet is to enter an issue with Atlassian support.
