Are Confluence's tiny links (shortened URLs) static?

Are those Tiny Links static or do they ever change?

Agreed, static links are very useful for me as well. I'll go check out the ticket.

From Tools, it's the "Tiny Link" provided when you click "Link to this Page...". It's offered as an alternative to the link based off of the page's name. Example: http://myhost/confluence/x/pBI4Aw
