Anonymous user is adding users to the confluence-users group

Hi,

we are currently struggling with quite an interesting error which blocks our work in Confluence. It all has started on 15th March 2021.

We have 25 licenses and we are exceeding the number every day again and again due to some activity causing this action: Anonymous user is adding Users to the confluence-users group.

It is not connected to any activity from the audit log. And we cannot delete unnecessary users every day.

Any idea how to fix it, please?

It's your LDAP directory settings causing this. I don't know why it shows up as an Anonymous user doing it and not System, but that's what it does.
