404 Error attempting to access Conflucence

I have JIRA and Confluence located on the Windows same server, simple install for both products and not linked together and both have been running happily for a few months.

Just recently, when I attempt to launch Confluence I get a long wait and then a 404 error, JIRA runs fine.

I can't see anything specific in the logs, but am not adept at troubleshooting TomCat errors. I'd appreciate any assistance.

Can you restart the confluence server and just see what it happens again . Go to Confluence_install dir and stop the server by using stop_service window batch file or else go to :\Path to\Confluence_install dir\bin & find the shutdown windows batch file shut it down and try to restart and see the log files
