Confluence on AWS using ELB

Hi

I would be interested to know any pros or cons anyone would have using Confluence on AWS using an ELB.

I have my ELB forwarding to port 8090 on my Confluence EC2 instance that is sat in a subnet in VPC.

I did read many years ago that Tomcat was not recommended to directly serve up pages, so use Apache or Nginx to do the proxying.
