A touch of AI magic in whiteboards for your holiday season!

Hey Confluence Whiteboards Community 👋

We’ve got another update coming your way this month. Some of you will have seen this in our recent Team 24' Europe event: AI has come to Confluence whiteboards!trumpet We have three features now available to you in continuous release, this is coming soon for our users on Release Tracks!

Generating Sticky Notes

Introducing your new brainstorming buddy Heart The hardest part in brainstorming is often getting started, instead of being faced with a blank page you can now generate sticky notes either from an existing sticky note or from a prompt (in the more menu!). Atlassian Intelligence pulls from contextual information in Confluence and Jira to make sure your ideas are relevant!

Clustering

Once you’ve completed a brainstorming session, a retro or any other ideation meeting, our new AI driven clustering functionality can help to start organizing your sticky notes with just a single click. Just select all the relevant sticky notes and hit the Group Related button, saving you and your team precious time!

Summarizing

All done with your whiteboard and need a way to quickly summarize and go from ideation to action? Generate a summary of your whiteboard and transform it easily into a Confluence page so your team can jump into execution mode from the button in the nav bar!

Particularly for generating sticky notes, please note it will be able to connect access data from your other Atlassian products in order to provide its full functionality. While it may only be turned on and available for use in your Confluence instance, it will be able to leverage information based on user permissions in Jira to generate sticky notes in Confluence Whiteboards.

We’d love to hear from you!

We can't wait to hear your feedback! Feel free to share your thoughts and feedback on this post or via the thumbs up/down when you use the feature. Your input is invaluable to us as we strive to enhance your Confluence Whiteboards experience.

I can already see how these AI-powered features will totally change the game for brainstorming and organizing ideas. The sticky note generator is such a great idea! It’s always the hardest part for me to get started when I’m staring at a blank page, so this is going to save so much time and effort. 💡

I think especially the summary is valuable for whiteboard when you don't want to share the whole "visual creation".

I’ve tried out most of them on whiteboards, and they’re all really useful. They let us create a data representation of our choice with sticky notes and clustering, and the AI is the cherry on top!

Thanks for the update Em, lovely new features.

As an organizer of workshops, I am also looking for the following features:

- Follow me - 'force' participants to follow a presenter's cursor, useful for opening/summarizing

- breakout rooms - sections within the whiteboard that can be assigned to groups of people. +kudos if you can get it to connect to Teams breakout rooms

- expandable sticky grids - expand your lovely templates with a bit of logic to easily re-arrange rows/columns and add rows/columns of stickies

- infinite zoom - when making a roadmap for instance I would like to enable product owners to provide a high over linear list of items they wish to achieve, by zooming in and enabling a new detail level they can add more information, perhaps even a textual summary without 'cluttering the overview'

- import /export functionality - Microsoft Whiteboard/ Miro / Excel / Microsoft Planner/ Kendis

Feel free to reach out and have a great day

It's wild to me that you would give public visitors the ability to edit as an effort to "lower the barrier to enable easy, real-time collaboration" before you would do so for your own paying customers.

Outrageous!
