I manage an old Bitbucket Server v5.7 instance with a license that expired on 12 Sep 2018. It makes use of a MySQL5.7 database, which is being auto upgraded to MySQL8 in the next few months. I therefore need to update this server to the minimum version that supports MySQL8 (v5.14).
BitBucket Server v5.14 was released on 11 Sep 2018. 1 day before my license expired.
I know that Jira Server allows you to upgrade to any version that was released up till your license expired.

My question is, is this the case for Bitbucket Server too?
If so then I should be able to upgrade my expired instance from v5.7 to v5.14 but no further.
Hi @Geoff Best Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Based on the below community post Bitbucket server licenses works same like Jira and you will be able to upgrade to the v5.14, you can try the upgrade in lower/stage instance to confirm the same or create a ticket with Atlassian support to get more details on this.
Thanks
Ravina
