We recently upgraded Stash from 2.7.2 to 2.7.6. We use LDAP (Active Directory) for authentication.

It seems like I rarely (once per week) had to login again to stash to perform admin (project and global) tasks.

Other users and myself, have noticed that we have to re-login more often.

Is there an auto-logout setting?

Does stash ever "end" a users session?

Thank you.

Hello John,

you can setup the session timeout at your convenience just editing web.xml file. By default it is 30 minutes.

Take a look here for more information https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/STASHKB/How+do+I+change+the+default+session+timeout

Hope this helps,

Fabio

Thank you Fabio for the information. I could not find that by searching the Stash documentation.

I adjusted the value to 1440 (24 hours) and restarted.

I have not had an issue, although I am active in Stash, almost everyday, but not every 30 minutes.

Thank you again and cheers!

John
