Showing message with PostReceiveHook

Hi All,

with HookResponse we can show some message on client console i.e, on git.

I able to did it with pre receive hook of onResponse(HookResponse.....)

//here HookResponse already having as an argument..

If I want to do the same with postReceive() method of postReceiveHook then how can I use the HookResponse interface to display the message on git.

Thanks in advance

Anil

A post-receive hook, as the name suggests, runs after the push is complete and the communication with the client is finished => you cannot give feedback to the client anymore.

If you need to do this, change your hook to pre-receive and use hookResponse.err().println() in onReceive().
