How to migrate other than source

Hello, we are in exploring phase for a Bitbucket migration from server to cloud.

I know Atlassian is on the way to launch an assistant soon.

Also have seen that importing repositories only takes source part.

Customer needs to migrate all history information related to:

  • Commits
  • Pull requests
  • Comments

Is there a way to do it?

Kind regards,

Hugo

Hello Hugo!

You are indeed right that the assistant is ready, at the time of writing this message. There are manual paths you can take to migrate to the cloud, which it seems you've already explored. For others, I link references on what those manual processes are here:

The ask you have about maintaining your commits, PRs, and comments post-migration is actually a feature that is currently in progress. You may find further information about this feature at BSERV-8496. We would suggest you vote and watch this issue for future updates.

Regards,
Stephen Sifers
