Hello,
we recently upgraded Bitbucket Data Center to 7.21.3 LTS version.
'If you are upgrading to Bitbucket 7.21 and using bundled Elasticsearch, this will result in a full search re-index.'
I checked the indexing status using the API - <url>/rest/indexing/latest/status
{"queues":{"delay":14,"event":0},"status":"INDEXING"}
I found no clear documentation on this. Any idea how to interpret this data ?
I want to know how long does this indexing require. It is running for more than 4 days now.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks and Regards
Aditya
Hi Aditya,
This depends on many factors (number and size of repositories, speed of reading repositories, speed of the Elasticsearch instance and possibly the network between Bitbucket Server and the Elasticsearch instance), so it's hard to predict how long it would take.
Cheers,

Thank you for the reply Christian.
We are using elastic search bundled instance.
My doubt here is how to interpret the output of the API - <url>/rest/indexing/latest/status
{"queues":{"delay":14,"event":0},"status":"INDEXING"}
I found no clear documentation on this. Any inputs about this?
Thanks and Regards
Aditya
