How does the bitbucket system react if a user that did a commit to code but no longer exists?

I have a situation where the organization that data is being migrated from, has several users that are no longer associated with the program, hence will not have user accounts on the bitbucket system receiving the migrated data. If we are doing a migration of data to present repositories from one organization to another, will bitbucket perform the migration correctly if code commits were performed on the data to be transferred by users that are no longer in the system receiving the data? Please advise if the user accounts will affect the migration! Thank you very much for any insight you can impart on me!
