I am no longer a part of the team I created, and would like to transfer ownership to those still on the team. How can I do this? (Preferably without forcing team members to create a new team & groups, and migrate all repos over)

What do you mean by "transferring the ownership"?
If by "ownership" you mean you're the main Billing and Technical and you'd like to pass this role to someone else in the company, you can do that by following the steps explained in this Knowledge Base Article. Basically, you'll need to sign in to https://my.atlassian.com with your Atlassian ID and add the new Technical and Billing Contact. The new billing contact will then need to log in to https://my.atlassian.com using his own credentials and _promote_ himself as the main contact. After this, the old Technical or Billing contacts can be deleted.
If you are the administrator for the team, you can add other users to be administrators of this team too. For more information you can read Administer your team.
If you just need to transfer the ownership of some repos that you created, you can follow Change or transfer repository ownership.
