Exclude specific file from merging while auto-merging through Bitbucket API

Hi Team,

I am using Atlassian Bitbucketv5.16.11 Server. I automatically merge the code across branches through Bitbucket API. During this auto merge I need to exclude specific files from getting merged. Is there a way to do this. If so please provide the steps.
