Can Bitbucket API be used to retrieve commits over a month for projects and different users?

Luke Frost January 27, 2021

Is it possible at all that you can use the Bitbucket API to retrieve the amount of commits over a month for a project and for a user on the bitbucket platform?

I've looked at the API documentation and whilst there is an api call there for retrieving commits I can't find anything for getting commits over a month.

Hi Luke and welcome to the community.

I believe that your question is about Bitbucket Cloud API?

I'm afraid that this is not possible at the moment, we have a feature request for this in our issue tracker that I would suggest voting for and watching if you'd like to get notified via email on updates:

One suggestion I can make as a workaround would be to use a git log command, which has filters for --after, --before and --author. If you run it in a mirror clone of the repo (so that all branches are present) it should give you the info you want.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Theodora
