Bitbucket is very powerful and has a lot of functionality. I know that at a high level it is for source control and versioning, but can someone explain in more detail an overview of what bitbucket is capable of, features, and any other helpful information that explains this tool.
Hi @Grady Brosier,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
So Bitbucket allows enterprises to apply permission control on top of Git repositories (since Git do not care about permissions) allowing you to control who have access to project (a collection of repositories) and/or repositories. Bitbucket also allows you do do code reviews on the form of Pull Requests. You also have the option to use hooks, either created by you or via an app that allows you to extend the functionality, like running a build/test when a developer pushes code, or publish code when a pull request is merged, just to mention a few examples.
