I created a new gmail.com email account to use when creating a new developer instance.
I never get the verification email for that new developer instance.
I can send a test email to the new gmail.com account just fine.
When I attempt to create a new developer instance using the same email, I am told the email is already being used and to login if I own it. It tells me upon login I should have a verification email in my inbox, been a couple hours and no verification email as of yet.
This appears to be due to the new gmail account I was using not truly being finalized before Atlassian attempts to send a verification email. Since the attempt likely bounced, no amount of requesting a resend actually did any such thing.
I was forced to create another account to use and ensure it was finalized with gmail.com before attempting to setup a new developer instance.
