I am trying to set up a smart multi-select field in a Confiform form to pull data from a form on another page in the same space.
Under the field "Page where the ConfiForms Form is defined" to configure the smart multi-select field, I am only able to select a form on the same page in which I am building the multi-select field. Am I doing something wrong or is multi-select only available to utilize forms and fields from the same page?
To provide additional detail, here is exactly what I am trying to do;
I have a field "ImpactedSystems" on a form titled "ProjectIntake" on a page titled "Project Intake". I have a second form titled "SupportedApps" on a different page titled "Applications". This form is used to enter all of the applications my group currently supports and should only be accessible by myself and a small subset of other users in my group. I want the "ImpactedSystems" field from the first page to be a smart multi-select which displays the values from the "SupportedApps" form on the "Applications" page.
I have tried to get to the Vertuna ConfiForms wiki, but receive a proxy error on several of the pages and have been unable to find a page specifically documenting the smart multi-select, if someone else is aware of the page that I've been unable to find, or can help answer the question that would be much appreciated!
Thanks so much in advance!
Hi @Rachel Bedi
The field could take options from a form on another page
Start typing the page title in the "Page where the ConfiForms Form is defined" parameter and it should offer you the page to select
Alex
Hi Alex (the ConfiForms guru!) thanks for replying so quickly. That is the behavior I would expect, however it does not offer the page to select, even once I've typed out the full name of the page the form I need is on.
Wondering if this is an internal issue, just not sure how to troubleshoot. Would page restrictions have any effect on this?

Might be a Confluence search index running a bit out of sync. Is it a fresh page?
Quick test - does Confluence search finds it when you type in a search box (top right corner)?
Permissions should not be a problem, as I assume you have access to the page you are searching for, right?

Hey Alex - that's what I was thinking is that the search index was running behind so I left it overnight and it still wasn't working.
I was just now able to solve it (though it's not a root cause, unfortunately) I ended up deleting the field (I had originally had it defined as a text field and decided to change it to a smart multi select to have better control over the data input into the form, maybe this had something to do with it?) and then just created a new field in the same position with the smart multi-select and that seemed to take care of the issue.
This is something I've noticed in Confluence in general, not necessarily with ConfiForms macro exclusively (have experienced this with multi-excerpt include as well), that if a page needs to be referenced in the macro I sometimes have to delete and start over.
Thank you SO much for your super fast response and help!

Glad it is resolved!
And really sad I cannot contribute more into finding the root cause - such glitches do happen occasionally, but are really hard to reproduce in a separate environment and even harder to get these fixed
