Why do fix versions selected in an Issue keep re-sorting?

I am working in Epics which have multiple fix versions assigned to them.  I select the versions in a specific order I need for reporting.  But after I select, leave the issue and go back to it, the versions are re-sorted in a different order.  I'm not sure how Jira sorts versions and how to put the versions in the way I need and have that order stay until I choose to re-sort them.

Any assistance/help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Trina Woodworth

Unfortunately the contents of the of the "Fix Versions" field doesn't maintain any order - the releases listed there may be shown in any order upon loading the issue regardless of the order in which they were added.

If you'd like to make a feature request to have this supported you can do so here: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa

Sorry this isn't quite the answer you were looking for! Please feel free to reach out to the Community with any future questions though.
