Best practices

Here are some best practices for using Confluence mission control.
  • Regularly Review Activity Metrics: Use the Activity reports to monitor recent views, creations, and updates within your spaces. This helps you stay informed about how content is being used and identify any areas that may need attention.
  • Manage Stale Content: Leverage the Content Management reports to identify and address inactive pages, ensuring that your space remains relevant and up-to-date. Review pages that haven't had activity in the last six months regularly and take action as needed.
  • Ensure Content Ownership: Check for pages without active owners and reassign ownership to maintain accountability and ensure that all content has a responsible party for updates and maintenance.
  • Monitor Security Settings: Use the Security reports to track public links and their views. Review these links quickly to identify and mitigate potential security risks, ensuring that sensitive information remains protected.
  • Set a Regular Review Schedule: Establish a routine for checking mission control, such as weekly or monthly reviews, to ensure continuous oversight and timely updates to your Confluence spaces.
  • Engage with Space Admins: Collaborate with other space admins to share insights and coordinate efforts in managing and improving your Confluence spaces.
By following these best practices, you can effectively utilize Confluence mission control to maintain a well-organized, secure, and engaging Confluence environment.
