Advanced
In this lesson, you'll work through a sandbox challenge designed to give you hands-on experience with the knowledge covering advanced user features. This challenge will help reinforce key concepts and prepare you for various kinds of scenario-based questions in the exam.
You will also test your knowledge and assess if you're ready for the exam with these sample questions.
Sandbox Challenges
To pass the exam, technical knowledge of Jira features is crucial, but it is not enough. The majority of exam questions are based on scenarios that must be understood, analyzed, and evaluated to find the correct answer that fits the stated constraints.
The following challenges will assist you in exploring a scenario with searching and reporting. This will help to develop your approach and prompt you to investigate different methods and solutions as you prepare for the exam.
Search and report
You need to create filters and dashboards to report on the current state of work and to review past performance. These are the questions that should be on the forefront while searching and reporting.
- What are some frequently used gadgets and what configuration options do they have?
- Which ones show historical information?
- Which gadgets will display different information depending on the user viewing them?
- What are the parts of a JQL query?
- How can multiple clauses in a JQL query impact the results returned?
- What are all the reasons that the same shared filter can show different results to different users?
- Which JQL functions will present results relative to the user or the user’s timezone?
- Explore filter subscriptions. Who can create a private or group filter subscriptions? What kind of schedule can be set? Will users always receive the same results? Can you email a subscription even if there are no results found?
