Happy Wednesday Everyone! It has been exactly 6 months since we adopted our trio of kittens. I thought I’d share some updated photos and ask everyone to feel free to share your own in the comments! Six months ago: Today: Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Happy Wednesday Everyone! As our family has finished our major travelling for the year, I decided to clean up a number of the apps I had installed to make things easier/more convenient while we were on vacation. This might be a hot take on my part, or maybe I’ve finally reached my grumpy old man stage of life, but there…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! This past weekend, I went into my wife office to chat about something and I was hit with mental anguish when I saw over 5000 unread emails. In her defense, most of those were system alerts only a small portion of which were actually important. This massive inbox of both read and unread messages…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I have a bit of a weird question this week, so allow me to provide some context. This past week I was asked to "remove" the custom favicon we have been using for Jira and Confluence. For reference we used the exact same logo for both and it has been that way since before I started working there…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! As I'm sure you are all aware, Team '25 Europe is happening right now! If you are attending in person, please post some pictures from the event. What you might not have seen yet, is that registration for Team '26 is now open! It looks like it will be back at Anaheim on May 5-7. My question for you…

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year. It’s that time when it’s more socially acceptable for me to be dressed up in costume without judgement that I’m weird. I also have two small children that love this time of year as well. My question for you this week: When is it too early to…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Today is the first day of school for my son (my daughter starts tomorrow, kindergarten is unique). One of the most exciting (or scary) parts can be finding out who your teacher is going to be and who is going to be in your class. My son, is hoping to have all his friends from last year in his…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Right now, my wife, kids and I are getting ready to enter Universal Epic Universe! This is something my wife and I have been planning for a number of years. We don’t do extravagant vacations often. In fact, our last “big“ vacation was a week in Italy back in 2012. Many years before we had either…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! We are a few weeks removed from Team '22 now, which was the first travel experience for myself and a number of the other attendees that I spoke to while in Vegas. In addition, more and more travel restrictions continue to be removed making travel more accessible to people. My question for you this…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! This weekend, I will be attending the local Conic Con event! Whether you’re a die-hard cosplayer, a comic book collector, a gamer, or just someone who loves to geek out over your favorite fandom, Comic Con is the perfect place to embrace what makes us unique. Have you ever dressed up as your…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! It's hard for me to believe the last Wednesday of the summer is here already! I know when I was younger, the first school assignment we would get would be to write about all the fun things we did over the summer break. My question for you this week is: How was your summer? And, what did you do?…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! For a number of people, the warmer weather is usually the best time to use the BBQ. As someone who is resistant to the cold Canadian winter, I’m generally BBQing all year around. However, I thought it might be fun to make everyone very hungry by asking what you are grilling this week? Personally,…

Happy Friday Everyone! Today is national “Be An Angel“ Day! What can you do to participate: Perform random acts of kindness Volunteer your time & donate to charity As it would happen, I’m celebrating my birthday with an Extra Life Charity stream on Twitch about an hour from now supporting my local Children’s Hospital. I’m…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Tomorrow, is my son’s last day of school. Since we moved last summer and this was his first year here, it’s heart-warming to see how many close friends he has made already and I know that will only continue year over year. Now, the end of the school year is the beginning of Summer Day Camp. Last…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! This past weekend, we had a pretty significant thunderstorm. Had I been thinking about it, I would have tried to capture some video. In the past when we had dogs in the house, we always had to comfort them being anxious about the noises. However, this past weekend my son and I just watched…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! We are approaching to hottest point in the summer. So I wanted to ask you this week, how you are managing to stay cool? Are you taking a dip in the pool? Hiding next to the fan/air conditioning? Or are you cracking open a cold one? For myself, as we continue to go to the market, one of my favorite…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Ever since our kids have been old enough, my wife and I agreed that they need to be enrolled in swimming lessons until they have successfully completed enough skills that they have a reasonable chance of surviving if they ever get stuck in water. So my question to everyone this week, Are there…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Yesterday was Jira Admin Appreciation Day! To all my fellow admins, thank you for everything that you do every single day. Without your constant commitment to ensure your users have the best experience possible their Jira environment would be in a far worse situation. For this week, there is no…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I've had this conversation a few times since the beginning of the month and every time I have shared my tip for making this easier it have been new information to the people I have been chatting with. Upfront disclaimer: I'm not trying to sell you anything! I do NOT work for Atlassian or any…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Back before my wife and I had children, camping was something that we would do at least once a year in the summer. My wife’s parents have a seasonal trailer at a campground a short distance from their farm and our new house. We decided this year was the year that we would book a camp site at their…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! To all my fellow Canadians, I hope you had a wonderful Canada Day yesterday. Last year, I shared some fun facts about Canadian Currency. This year, I thought I’s share another fun Canadian fact. While it might be named Hawaiian Pizza, it was actually invented in Canada (in Chatham which is very…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Last year, my wife and I sold our house and moved closer to both of our families. Because we moved at the beginning of July we didn’t plant anything at our old house. And, because we arrived in July we didn’t have the opportunity to choose what we planted in our absolutely amazing garden at our…

Happy Wednesday Everyone! In my part of the world the warm weather has really started to shine and that also means there is a ton of pollen in the air. Unfortunately, for me this means itchy, watery eyes & a nose I can’t breathe from. This was always an issue for me growing up, but for the last 19 years when my wife and I…
