Throwback Thursday: What is your favorite holiday tradition? #TBT
It's Thursday! This one is similar to last week´s but still a bit different. I am a Christian so I grew up celebrating Christmas. My favorite holiday tradition is actually not that old. My wife is a quarter German and her grandmother (and great grandmother and great great grandmother and ...) used to bake Stollen (German…

Friday Fun: Christmas tree traditions
Ok, a little background history here. I am from Iceland and my mom would only put up the Christmas tree on December 21st or so when I was growing up. I think it was mainly because we had a live (well, dead by that point) tree and she wanted the needles to stay on as long as possible (you see, Christmas in Iceland isn't…

Ace BBQ Pizza
Decision When I read about the competition, my first thought was "nah, I can't really bake anything exceptional" but then I got an idea. What if I made a blue pizza with the Ace logo made out of cheese?!? So that is how I chose my recipe. I used Trello to help me plan and execute. In the beginning the Trello board was more…

Throwback Thursday: Words you couldn’t pronounce as a kid? #TBT
It's Thursday! Piece of useless information: Thursday is trash day on my street. So double T. TT :) Most kids have a hard time pronouncing words as they are learning to speak, naturally. But then there are sometimes a word or two or even three that they continue to have a hard time pronouncing. For me it was rabbabari…

Throwback Thursday: What is the best prank you’ve ever played on someone? #TBT
It's Thursday! Some people are great pranksters! I know this one guy who ended up getting a degree in Engineering. He was once living in a very old house with bunch of other guys (yeah, could be any college accommodation). He wanted to prank one of them so he drilled a small hole in the ceiling. Then he created a gadgetty…

Throwback Thursday: Do you have any crazy roommate stories? #TBT
It's Thursday! I once had this roommate that had this super fast metabolism. I mean, he literally had to have something to eat on him at any given time or else trouble was brewing. This is all good and fine (well not for him, poor guy). We all have our challenges. But the thing is, he ate almost everything in the fridge!…

Throwback Thursday: What did you get into the most trouble for with your parents as a kid?
It's Thursday! Ok, this happened before mid summer of 1982 (because we moved to a different house that summer) and my dad had recently bought a garden hose reel. Bright orange with plastic sides to keep the hose in place as you reeled it in. Similar to this one below: This hose reel was kept in the back of the house, which…

Throwback Thursday: Where are you from? #TBT
It's Thursday! Ok, good folk, this one is going to be a little different. This one is more of a DNA question :) I was born and raised in Iceland. Lived most of my life there. Two of my grandparents have been traced in genealogy all the way back to the settlement of Iceland around 870, then over to Norway. So I do call…

What is the app? ScriptRunner from Adaptavist How did you find the app? We found the app on Atlassian Marketplace early in our Jira journey What did you use it for? Wow, it is probably easier to answer "what is it NOT used for?" :) We use it to run post-function scripts in many of our workflows, use the added functions in…

Throwback Thursday: Do you still own any VHS/Betamax tapes?
It's Thursday! As a teenager in Iceland in the 80's, I remember the first video rental places opening up. Usually it was in people's homes. I remember one very well that was close to my home. It was in the small foyer of a terraced house (town home). They had set up a small shelf (where the shoes of guests were suppose to…

Condition transition (hide it) to Priority = Critical
Hi all. So I want to use a Groovy script to hide a transition from issues that have Priority = Critical (or Priority = High but let's start with Critical). I.e. use this script as a Condition. I've searched a bit but not found exactly this use case. Any ideas? TIA, KGM

Are you guys doing anything to improve the search in Confluence 6.14 and later?
Hi folks. The search in Confluence has always been an Achilles heel but it took a turn for the worse after changes made in Confluence 6.14. Now it does not support substring (partial) searches. I made a ticket with Atlassian and this has been confirmed. There is a feature request about this…
