What happens if you exceed your license limit when using Active Directory?
Hello Community :) What happens to the Atlassian applications when the license limit is exceeded when using Active Directory for authentication? I've read a few articles and experienced this once in Jira when exceeding Jira Service Desk Agent licenses, but we use Crowd for User Mgmt. How do the applications know how many…

Stay-at-home cooking - what's your go-to meal?
Like most around the globe, i'm typing this whilst working from the comfort of my office...also known as the spare bedroom...at my house. It's all over the news here in the UK of people stockpiling food (I'm never sure why when there's no shortage of it?!) but it leaves the supermarket shelves empty and me looking in my…

Friday Fun: SpoOooOoky Halloween!
I've been in two minds about what I should do for my Halloween themed Friday Fun. I have a love for true crime (if you've seen any posts lately about 'things i'm reading' or similar, i've most likely commented (if you want books / podcast recommendations let me know!)) but one thing I don't necessarily like (because I just…

Jira Service Desk - My Top Five Features
Jira Service Desk is my favourite Atlassian product. There, I said it. I use it all the time and love its customisation abilities and ease of use. I've used other ITSM tools before, but Jira Service Desk is by far my favourite. We've been using Jira Service Desk (server) since September 2016, and i've adapted different…

Ensure you have enough tea to keep a small army going...
Like most around the globe, i've now been working from home (WFH) for five weeks. Whilst a challenge at first (working from a breakfast bar all day IS NOT great for your back), common sense prevailed and I bought a desk before all the non-essential shops were shut. Admittedly, a home office was never something I wanted.…

Formats for booking time in Jira
Hi Community We've got a user who is trying to book time in Jira in a format of X.xH e.g. 1.1h for 1h 6m. The issue we have is when they try to book 4.1h or 8.2h, it errors with an 'invalid time duration' error. Does anyone know why this it? Our Jira config is set to display time in the 'pretty' format, but I can't seem to…

Is there an easy way of adding new CAUG Leaders?
At Capgemini, we are spreading the word of CAUGs as we have ~250,000 people worldwide (not all that use Atlassian tools, wouldn't that be great!) but there are small pockets of people based on every continent and we are trying to reach out to as many as possible. Is there a way I can add people who want to be CAUG leaders…

Additional vertical scroll bar when a banner is added to Confluence
Hi Community We recently had an issue where we added a Banner to Confluence and it created an additional vertical scroll bar to the right hand side of the original scroll option. So, say you were editing a Confluence page. You have the first scroll bar which enables you to scroll up and down the page you're editing, but…
