Changing an issue type is a destructive change because different issue types have different fields. So when you changed it from Test --> Bug there would have been a screen to handle what you want to do with the information in the fields that are different between the two issue types. In the example below, I am changing an…

Hi Sugumaran, Jira Server/ Data Center apps for iOS and Android are currently in Beta, and require Jira version 8.0 and higher. See here for more information: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/jira-software-mobile-app-966063511.html

Hi Sebastian, Next gen projects are much simpler to configure than classic projects (it's one of the main reasons we built them!), as such you don't need to go to the trouble of adding an issue type to a schema and associating that schema to the project. To add an issue type to a next gen project, navigate to your project,…

No worries, reply here if you have any difficulty and accept the answer if it works for you tomorrow :)

Hi Ray, yes you can add all 3 to the same instance of Jira cloud (and the same free trial). To do this, I would suggest you select try now on one of them (Jira) then go to: Settings (bottom left of screen after creating your jira site) --> Billing --> Discover applications (also in the left side navigation bar). From here…

Unfortunately not at the moment but you could raise a feature request at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17648?jql=project%20%3D%20%22JIRA%20Software%20Cloud%22%20AND%20type%20%3D%20Suggestion%20AND%20statusCategory%20!%3D%20Done%20ORDER%20BY%20Updated

I think you want to use a 'Cascading select' custom field, where you can chose one option and based on that option, another set of options will appear. If you haven't added a custom field to your issue types before check out the documentation…

Hi Senthil, Not that I am aware of. However, what is the point of having the issue type in the project if you aren't going to use it? Or were you wanting to disable it only for some users?

While you are correct for 'classic' projects, this post was tagged with next-gen, and actually for next-gen projects, columns map 1-1 with status'. You are right though that the order of the status' in the drop down aren't ordered the same way as the board, they are just alphabetical within their status categories. This…

Hi, To remove an issue type from a project you just remove it from the issue type scheme that associates issue types with a project. Check out the docs on how to do that here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/associating-issue-types-with-projects-861253240.html

Hi Timothy, I assume that Acceptance Criteria Review is a transition you can make on an issue which will change the status of the issue. If that assumption is correct, then the answer to your question depends on how your workflow is set up. If you are able to transition the issue back to the status it was in before you…

No worries :)

Welcome to the community! If you're new to Jira Cloud, I might suggest the Jira Cloud apps for iOS and Android so you can get notified about issues on the go. Links for the official Jira Mobile apps are here: Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atlassian.android.jira.core iOS:…

Hi Paul, Are you able to provide some more context here? Is it just one particular issue you can't upload an attachment to, or is it all issues within a specific project? It could be a permission that you don't have to be able to upload to issues in a specific project - check with your admin. Are you seeing any error…

Hi Richard, You can use any project template to start with and customise it to suit your process, the templates are just templates with some workflows pre-configured, no matter which one you choose, you can edit it to suit your needs. You may want to try a couple of different templates and see which one is closest to the…

The build wont actually commit the artefacts from the build to your repository that is why you can't see them in the repository (and you don't want to do this). What you want to do is add a command after the assemble command to the build script that will get the APK that you just built which will be around that location I…

Hi @Lisa Jones This indeed looks like a bug. I have filed it with the Trello Android team. Thanks for reporting! :)

Hi Kotso, Sorry for leading you on a wild goose chase here, it seems you can't do this out of the box with server and you will need to install a plugin such as Jira workflow toolbox to add the workflow transition validator you need. I have learned this today as well! Check out @Thorsten Letschert _Decadis AG_'s answer…

the ./gradlew assembleDebug command will build the APK and put it in the build folder for your app. I think by default this build folder will be somewhere like {projectRoot}/app/build/outputs/apk/debug/app-debug.apk If you run ./gradlew assembleDebug on your local machine, then check around that location you should see the…

Hi Marco, When you say deploy in this case, what do you mean exactly? Push the APK to the Play store? Push it to firebase to run instrumentation tests?

Hi Lisa, When you say 'click onto members' what do you mean exactly? Is members another field in the issue? If you have any screenshots, that might help :) Hope I can get to the bottom of this for you! Cheers, Josh Developer, Jira Android

Hi @Cloud9_GE Sorry I didn't see the Jira Server tag when I answered this, there are a few different validators in cloud that might've done done this, these validators are available as plugins in server

Hi Philippe, Have you considered using swimlanes on the board you created to break the work up by project (or something else like priority) so it is a bit less 'messy' on the board? Try it out and see if you think it suits your needs: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/configuring-swimlanes-764478010.html

UPDATE: @Thorsten Letschert _Decadis AG_ is correct here. Unfortunately, I have just discovered in server you need to install a 3rd party plugin to add the validators on the transition you need to do this. In cloud, the validator you need comes built in to ensure the field is not empty when transitioning in your workflow.

No worries. Keep an eye out for updates to the mobile apps in the future. 3rd party plugin support is something we are looking at investing in for the official mobile apps.

Yep, clicking on the attachment in the app wont download it on to your device, it will just show it in full screen. You can choose to download it from here if you want by clicking the download button at the top of the full screen preview, but it won't download it by default. Links for the official Jira Mobile apps are…

Hi Aleksey, Both the iOS and Android official Jira mobile apps allow you to view attachments on an issue. Is this what you mean by "preview drops and attached files?" All attachments on an issue can be found under the 'Attachments' section of the issue, where you can expand to see all of the attachment thumbnails, then…

UPDATE (13 Sept 2019) We now support add-on glances in the issue view: We have started rolling out the ability for 3rd party add-ons with glances in the issue view in Jira to update their add-ons to start appearing within our official apps. So if you have a favourite app glance you want to see in mobile, get in contact…

This is possible to do using either a 'validator' or a 'condition' on a transition in a workflow. Go to the settings for your project and select workflows from the left hand side. Click the pencil icon under the actions for the workflow in your project. Select 'diagram' and click on the arrow from open to in progress.…
