Hi Craig - apologies that you're experiencing issues logging in. Would you mind dropping an email to support at bitbucket dot org so we can take a look at your account specifically? Thanks!
-
You can subscribe to the Bitbucket blog for all the latest updates on feature releases and best practices for Bitbucket and Git! https://blog.bitbucket.org/

Hi Julien, Right now, this capability is currently only available for Bitbucket Server, but we definitely see how it could be useful for Bitbucket Cloud. It's in the backlog! Alastair
-
Hi Dane, Thanks for your question. The check is performed against Bitbucket's own two-step verification feature. https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/two-step-verification-777023203.html So if you enable it, your users will have to enable the Bitbucket two-step verification, independent of their login method. Does…

Hi P J - When you go to reset your Atlassian account password, make sure you're entering the same email address that's presented on the upgrade screen. If you're being prompted to create a new account, you may be entering an email address that is not your primary Bitbucket email.
-
In fact, you can now opt in to this feature! Check it out on the "Manage Features" page under settings.

Hi Bill and Gonçalo, We're actually planning to bring repository avatars back! Check out our blog post about upcoming improvements to Projects, which includes repository avatars: https://blog.bitbucket.org/2016/02/24/new-improvements-for-bitbucket-cloud-projects/ Alastair
-
Hi Gonçalo, Thank you for your feedback. Yes, if you group repositories into a project, the project avatar will generally be displayed with the repository across the UI. Thanks, Alastair
-
Hi Gonçalo, With the introduction of the new projects feature, a new way to group repositories for teams, repository-specific avatars are no longer supported. You can now group your repositories into projects and upload an avatar for that project. You can read more about projects here:…
-
Hi Jeff, Thanks for the feedback on that use case, it's helpful. And for the tip on the add repos page! Alastair
-
Hi Jeff, Thanks for your question. Yes, a repository must be contained by a project, and projects that contain repositories can't be deleted. You can rename the Untitled project on the project page to something more appropriate for your team, or you can create more projects to organize your repositories if you like. When…

Hi Mehul, Welcome to Bitbucket! It sounds like you registered an individual account and created some repos, then created a team account and invited your individual account to be a member of that team. The repos under your individual account are totally separate from the team. If you'd like to make them available to your…
-
Hi Tim, Thanks for the compliment, and thanks for using Atlassian! At this time, you can't set different permissions for the repository code and its issue tracker. If your team requires this, the suggested workaround is to set up a separate repository for the issue tracker. Thanks! Alastair
-
Hi QSD The easiest way to find out which private repos a given user has access to is to * Navigate to "Plan details" in team settings * Find the user in the list * Click "View access" Hope that helps, Alastair

Hi there Bitbucket and JIRA Cloud have separate user databases (and therefore do not share usernames), so your users will need to have accounts in both products. To check if they already have a Bitbucket account, you can search for users by email address in Bitbucket (instead of username). If they don't, you'll can invite…

Hi Srinivas, Thanks for your feedback! In fact, we recently released an improved pull request list display that shows the destination branch. You can learn more about this feature and how to enable it here: https://blog.bitbucket.org/2016/04/06/code-review-just-got-even-better-in-bitbucket-cloud/ Thanks! Alastair Bitbucket…

Hi there! It is not an error. You'll need to proceed with logging in so your account can be upgraded. If you use Google to log in and do not have a password, click Forgot password to set one so you can log in.
-
Sure thing. Sorry about that - we denote which version a feature is for in the documentation ( look for Bitbucket Server or Bitbucket Cloud in the header), but admittedly it is not always obvious. Thanks for the feedback.
-
Hi Alex, Thanks for your question and the compliment! I'm afraid that at the moment, cascading branch merging is only available in the on-premise version of Bitbucket, Bitbucket Server. Alastair
-
Hi Josip, Thanks for your question. The file tree diff presentation is unique to Bitbucket Server and is not available in Bitbucket Cloud at this time. However, to help with scrolling, there is a file list at the top of the diff with links to each file. Alastair

Hi Richard - sorry you're experiencing issues logging in! There's currently an issue with login that is erroneously enforcing case-sensitivity on the email field - perhaps that's what you're encountering? We're working on getting a fix out, but in the meantime, if you're still having trouble logging in, it would be great…

Hi Erin, At this time, repositories inherit their project's avatar. The ability to specify an avatar for a specific repository in a project is coming soon! Thanks, Alastair
-
Hi there, You can modify this behavior by changing the "Default repository access" setting on each group to "None." Hope that helps! Alastair
-
Hi Michael, I'm sorry you're experiencing issues authenticating in SourceTree. The behavior you're describing is strange! Are you able to log into Bitbucket Cloud using that password? If yes, but it's not working in SourceTree, can you send an email to support@bitbucket.org so we can investigate? Thank you! Alastair
-
Hi Naëm, Since one of the steps of the upgrade process was to input your Atlassian account password, you should now have a password set (in addition to being able to use Google). You should be able to use your Bitbucket username and Atlassian account password to authenticate SourceTree. If you need to reset your Atlassian…

This functionality is not yet available for Bitbucket Cloud, but it is coming soon. Watch this public issue for updates on release timing: https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issues/12771/prevent-changes-without-a-pull-request
-
Hi Josiah - Sorry for the issue. Do you see a "Don't have access to that email? Try another" link on the migration screen? If yes, click that to use a different email address. If the issue persists, can you send an email to support@bitbucket.org? We're happy to help.

Hi Chris, On the "Plan details" page in team settings, you can view access rights (by group or repo) for individual users. This may not help for a comprehensive compliance report as it is a user-by-user operation, but it might be quicker than going through each repository. Hope that helps! Alastair

Sure thing

Hi Tarmo, What value are you using for apppwd_user? Alastair
