That's great @Pete Morris Looking forward to see the upcoming changes.

Hi @zigojacko This community is the best place to seek answers but if you want to talk to someone or get professional help then reaching out to an Atlassian Partner is highly recommended. Usually most partners would offer variety of services and you don't have to engage with them for full deployment/migration. It could be…

Hi @Petr Sigaev You have to use valid JSON to update the field. Try this. { "fields": { "environment": "Thanks for raising {{issue.key}}.", "labels": [ "bugfix", "blitz_test" ], "customfield_10149": [ {"value": "Option 1"}, {"value": "Option 3"} ] } } If you are not sure about the valid JSON format then take a look at how…
-
Hi @Michal Leszczynski That is how custom fields work in Jira. If the value is not set the field is not displayed. Ravi
-
Hi @David Albert You are referring to JSM documentation but your screenshot is from Jira Software. What kind of reports you want to create? You can also go to your dashboard and use various gadgets to create your own reports. Ravi
-
Thanks. You can run ad-hoc code from the Console.
-
Hi @Andrey Butuzov Do you have ScriptRunner for Jira on your server instance? If yes then doing this is quite straight forward using ProjectRoleService. ProjectRoleService projectRoleService = ComponentAccessor.getComponent(ProjectRoleService) projectRoleService.removeActorsFromProjectRole(..) This post has a good example.…
-
Hi @Jodie Sleeman You have to use advanced edit to get the account id of the user from the people field. Try this to set the assignee. { "fields": { "assignee": "{{issue.People field. accountId}}" } } Ravi
-
Hi @binay_yadav There are no field validators in automation but what you can do is this. * Check if the sprint values is changed on edit issue * Check if the story points on the issue are empty * Add a comment or do something else like send an email to grab attention of the relevant people * You can also clear the sprint…
-
Hi @caroline.vilar You can do that using the built in automation rules and REST API. I made a detailed video showing exactly that. Using Automation rules you can make a rest call and call Jira's own REST API to create a project using the following end point. JIRA-URL/rest/api/3/project However I will try to be careful…

Hi, Using ScriptRunner you can use a "Field(s) Required Validator" in your workflow transition's validator. Details here: https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4js/6.32.0/features/workflows/validators/built-in-validators/field-s-required-validator I hope it helps. Ravi
-
Hi @James Wardle Try this and let me know if it works. {{issue.customfield_10267.diff(issue.customfield_10266).businessDays}} This will give you days not hours but if you look at this page you will get more ideas: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/smart-values-date-and-time-functions/ For timezone I…
-
Hi @Aravind Gopalakrishnan The only available option and my recommendation would be to use the project version or releases (although you may not actually release something) but Jira versions have dates associated with them and you can use them in your plan to represent that event. You can also vote on this…
-
Hi @Paul Kelly Let me give you some pointers to solve this problem. You can get the linked issues of an issue using the IssueLinkManager def links = ComponentAccessor.getIssueLinkManager().getOutwardLinks(issue.getId()) * In the snippet above pass the issue object (your epic). * Use either inward links or outward links in…
-
Hi @Matt Sardi Within a specific portal the request types are mapped to an issue type of a single project in Jira. In JSM you can however create multiple projects and each of them will get a separate portal. All portals are listed under help centre. I hope it helps. Ravi
-
..and you can configure dependent issues to be schedule concurrently instead of sequentially, but this will impact the whole plan.
-
Hi @Jeanne Higgins You cannot have that constraint on the issues based on Start-to-start dependencies. The way Advanced Roadmap dependencies work is Finish-to-Start where issues will be planned/started only when the predecessors have finished. However you are free to plan the issues the way you want. Advanced Roadmap will…
-
Hi @Edmond Dang As @Deniz Tımartaş suggested using card colour based on the status can be a simple and quick way to highlight those issues. Also you can use dashboard gadget to display only these blocked issues else where + also create a filter subscription to remind people about these issues. Ravi
-
Hi @Aaron Pieros Deleting an issue using automation rule is possible but if you just want to save storage space then why not delete the attachments instead. At least you will not lose your issue. I made a video exactly to cover this use case. I hope it helps. Ravi
-
Advanced Roadmaps can most of that but capacity management view might not give you the view your team is used to but that gap can be filled in by creating custom reports using eazyBI. I would say just evaluate Advanced Roadmaps first to see what all it can cover for your requirements.
-
Hi Swati, There are various options in Jira. Can you please elaborate your requirements? How do you manage your projects, how is your team organised, how the work is estimated and any other relevant details. Options like Advanced Roadmaps, easy agile apps, big picture, tempo planner or may be using a reporting app like…
-
Yes the examples on that page should work and if you are on server then you have more options because you have direct access to your files and database to translate the ids to file names (if needed).
-
Hi @kdickason There are 2 ways I can recommend using either REST API or using Java API with the help of ScriptRunner for Jira. Attachments are stored within a specific folder with a number which corresponds to a file name. This information is stored in the database. So using a script you can translate those ids to actual…
-
Hi @Daz Why do you need to access it from database. You can just look at your custom fields list to check those that are provided by Insight. Ravi
-
Hi @Rajdeep Singh It seems like you are referring to a select list custom field. The options in that can be managed by your Jira Administrator. In case you have admin rights then go to Admin | Issues | Custom fields (under FIELDS), find the field and modify it. Ravi
-
Hi @Horacio Escalada Try this. "Email" = "{{reporter.emailAddress}}" Smart value should be in double quotes. Ravi
-
Hi @Danielle Green If you perform bulk edit and select move then you will get an option to keep or change the parent issue. Check the screenshot below. It will be a bit challenging to do it for thousands of issues. May be break it up in batches from issue navigator. Ravi
-
Hi @Samukelisiwe Zondo This is done by using issue links in Jira. While adding a link also specify the type of link and the direction. Learn more about it here. These links will not do anything by themselves unless you are using Advanced Roadmaps or other apps. Ravi
-
You can always create a quick filter in your board for your specific status. (status = In Progress) but this quick filter is available in backlog and active sprint views only. Ravi
-
Hi @Muhammad Fayyaz That is one of the limitation of the basic roadmap. You can do that using Advanced Roadmaps though. Ravi
