The only way would be if you had a custom fields (not asset object field) that contained the object type name. The only drawback would be that you would have to manually maintain that value list if you add new object types.

Automations will always run after something happens, it cannot be triggered as a "pre-transition". Have you considered setting the status as part of a post function on the transition instead?

Hi @Dan Tong, Welcome to Atlassian Community! I would say that this is a prime example of what you can use Assets for. It is labeled as a CMDB, but I would say CMDB+ is better. One example of how I used in the past is as a decision tree. Our HR has a need for adding approvers from 2 - 4 different business teams based on…

What you are trying to do cannot be done, the Asset object field can only show objects, not object types. What is the reason behind needing to show the object type?
-
Hi @Frantz Galinier-Stefani, Welcome to Atlassian Community! Please report this to abuse@atlassian.com and they will take action on it. Just note that the team will not reply back.
-
Okay, I ran a quick test and it doesn't look like you can add internal notes, the action you associate with the agent can only add comments which are customer facing. When the support manager reviews tickets, is that done on individual tickets or on a group of tickets? If it in an individual ticket you could use a manual…
-
Are you using the agent as part of an automation? If you do then you can take the output from the agent and add it as an internal comment.
-
Hi @Ivan Espinosa Flores, Welcome to Atlassian Community! Yes, within the same JSM instance every agent has to be on the sam plan, you cannot mix the plans. What you can do is having JSM Premium and Jira Standard for example.

Hi @Todd Orme Welcome to Atlassian Community! Are you using a team-managed project or company-managed project? If you go to View all projects it will show you what type it is. In company-managed projects you also have a permission scheme that controls what users have access to in the project, one of them being who can be…

Hi @Kaye Grandstaff, Welcome to Atlassian Community! Once you submit the request you cannot revoke it. What it does is that it notifies your org admin for Atlassian that you would like to try the app out, and they can approve or decline the request. Usually a company has a purchase process in place so app requests would…

Yes, you can populate Forms field values via the API, the endpoint you want to use is Save form answers
-
Hi @Greg Aurand, Welcome to Atlassian Community! You cannot use JQL as part of your smart value, that is why they return as empty. What you could do is a lookup work items for done sub tasks linked to the current work item and then use {{lookupIssues.size}} to get the number of done sub-tasks.

You are not missing anything, I have seen this happening on the conditions in the trigger as well. Check out the comments on this article that announced advanced branching. You should open up a support ticket with Atlassian so they can take a look at this. In my case because the conditions were ignored the automation I had…
-
Currently it is not possible to copy a section from one form to another and keep the conditions. One workaround would be to have a template form that only has the question and the section in question that you use as your starting point for a new form.

You have to merge the returned work items in order to get the date that is furtherest out. Have a look at this answer to a similar question. To do the merge you create a variable with the list of dates like this: name: allEndDates value: {{#lookupIssues}}{{#sprint}}{{endDate.jiraDate}},{{/}}{{/} And then you can use this…
-
Hi @arti_b_patil The way you link an object to a service request is that you have a custom field that you can select from, then in you automation you use the lookup object for each if you need to modify the object.
-
You cannot use automation to edit Assets objects without an associated work item. You always have to start with the work item and if that one is associated with an Asset object you do the editing of the object.
-
Hi @Louise Woods, In you automation do you have a lookup work item component? The smart value {{lookupIssues}} only works if you do a lookup work items first.
-
The short answer is no, your users that currently do not have access to Bitbucket will not automatically be added to Bitbucket when you link it to the admin page. You would still have to assign a license to users for them to get access to Bitbucket.
-
So when you create a new board from the All Boards you have to select a project because each board needs to be located under a project, and because you are not in one you need to specify it. In the old UI you had to do the same while in the project, but in the new UI it assumes that you want the board to be under the…
-
And to add, you can now have multiple boards in a Work Management project, so selecting the type is no longer needed.
-
Hi @Jon Morozowski, Welcome to Atlassian Community! In the new UI you do not have to select the project when you create a new board from within the project, it will automatically set the destination as the current project.
-
How would you rank all the tickets in the queue? Based on created date or some other ranking?
-
The short answer is no, you cannot have an "Assign to me" button for the Approvers field. You could work around it by using an automation that is triggered manually that sets the Approvers field based on the initiator of the automation.
-
Hi @[deleted], Welcome to Atlassian Community! JSM/Jira doesn't have field level security out-of-the-box, so you would need an app from the Marketplace in order to do this. I know that you can do this with Scriptrunner, but there are also other apps that only deals with field security.

My first one was also ACP-100, I was part of the group that did the test version of it back in June 2016. I had no expectations going into it and failed it by 1%. At Summit that year I attended the study track and retook the test and passed it in February 2017.
-
Yes, that is possible, but in order to DM someone via automation you need to know the user's member Id in Slack. You can either get it by using the Slack API every time the rule runs, or you can store the member Id as a user property as described in this article. I did this as part of the onboarding process when a…

Hi @Joe Lupfer Welcome to Atlassian Community! What the message is trying to say is that you cannot assign users to workspaces in Bitbucket from within admin.atlassian.com, you would still have to do that from within Bitbucket. This is similar to Trello. What you will gain by linking Bitbucket to your organization is that…
-
You could do this with Assets and filter issue scope, and you could do it directly on the request form or via Forms. Your other options is to use entitlements which allows you to associate products to the organization the customer belongs to.

This is expected, because the billing is now handled through a third-party so Atlassian have no insight to the billing between you and the vendor. All Atlassian knows is the app and the number of licenses you have.
