Hi @Satori Kitamori 👋 Thanks for the report about the search bar. This is a known issue that we're actively working to fix: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-23777 As a workaround, you can do a code search by navigating directly to: https://bitbucket.org/search

Hi @Bob Taylor I believe your question is specific to Bitbucket Data Center, but I wanted to mention that Bitbucket Cloud has a public feature request to change the default visibility of draft PRs in list views: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-23640 We're considering either making this configurable or (more…
-
Hi @Tom Gagne 👋 The repository-level pull requests endpoint (/repositories/{workspace}/{repo_slug}/pullrequests) is not impacted by this change. You can continue using it to fetch PRs for a given repository.
-
Hi all 👋 This change will have zero impact on day-to-day usage of Bitbucket via the UI, nor on any other REST endpoints. Most customers won't need to do anything. But if you've got an application that happens to call the deprecated endpoint, you'll need to update your usage.

Hi @John Chamberlain , Bitbucket PM here 👋 Public snippets are effectively "unlisted" - they can't be crawled or indexed by search engines. You'll notice they have this in the <head>: <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow"> Additionally, in a public workspace, there's a page that lists all the public snippets in…

Hi @Urosh Velickovic 👋 We are gradually rolling out the dark/light theme picker over the next week or so. You'll see a popup message in Bitbucket when it is enabled for your user account.
-
Hi @EA! Yes, dark theme is completely optional. You'll only see it if you decide to turn it on.
-
Bitbucket PM here 👋 We are actively working on optimizing branch search results so that exact matches are returned at the top of the list, followed by partial matches. As @Ben mentions, keep an eye on BCLOUD-20410 and we'll provide an update when it's fixed.
-
Hi @Loïc Nguemegne Temena 👋 Bitbucket Cloud PM here. We have a public feature request logged for exactly what you're describing: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-21184 As it happens, we're actively looking at adding this. Would you mind sharing a little bit about your use case?
-
@Ian Hunter Hiya! The keyboard shortcuts will follow common conventions used across Atlassian products. Some single key, some multi key. If they're driving you crazy, you can always turn off keyboard shortcuts in your personal settings. https://bitbucket.org/account/settings/ We have thousands of engineers in Atlassian…
-
Hi all 👋 Still here, although I haven't jumped into the comments lately. Thank you very much for the candid feedback. I can tell you about a few usability improvements that we're making in response to this and other feedback we've received. * Keyboard shortcuts ( 1 2 3 ) for navigating tabs. We acknowledge it, the move to…

Hey @Justin 👋 It's Dave with the Bitbucket team. Thanks so much for reporting this! It's a known issue that we are actively working on a fix for. Publicly tracking it here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-23241
-
Hi @Ulrich Kuhnhardt _IzymesCo_ and @Michael Rüegg _Mibex Software_ 👋 thanks so much for the feedback. Now that we have the new layout in customers' hands, we are actively exploring options for extensibility, including all of the ones you mention. We will definitely share our early thoughts with the developer community.
-
Hi @Maksym Ivanchenko 👋 We will be adding a merge check for code owners in the near future!
-
Hello @André Beserra de Souza 👋 We have just introduced native support for CODEOWNERS in Bitbucket Cloud - no Marketplace app required. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Bitbucket-articles/Automatically-assign-code-owners-as-pull-request-reviewers/ba-p/2655633
-
Hi @Edwin Chung 👋 it's Dave from the Bitbucket Cloud PM team. The default max size for a repository is 4GB. Our support team is able to override this limit on request, up to 10GB, for customers on the Premium plan. I hope this helps to clear things up! Thank you for pointing out the ambiguity between our different docs…
-
Hi @Ulrich Kuhnhardt _IzymesCo_ 👋 Short answer, we don't consider this to be a bug. The REST API only returns pending comments if the person making the request is the user who started the review session, and this is by design. Effectively what we're saying is, a pending comment is not (yet) a real comment. This was a…
-
Great suggestion @Ulrich Kuhnhardt _IzymesCo_! A merge check for "no pending reviews" is something we considered during implementation, and it could definite be incredibly useful. We decided that such a merge condition could present a problem if someone started a review but then subsequently got distracted or became…
-
Hi @Oscar Chang 👋 it's Dave from the Bitbucket team. As @Robert Wen_Cprime_ mentions, with Bitbucket Server reaching its EOL, you have the option of moving to either Bitbucket Cloud or Bitbucket Data Center. Here's the migration guide for Server > Cloud:…
-
Love the fire @John Dunlap and @JoeyBerger! Both Dark Mode and Cascading Merge are on our radar, but haven't risen to the top of our backlog for the Code side of Bitbucket. In addition to the features @Ash Moosa mentioned above, here are some of the other things we're working on now (or in the immediate future): * Batched…

Another update - we've just added support for highlighting `.tf` and `.vue` file formats.
-
This has now been fixed. Thanks again @Meet Rathod for reporting it.
-
Just a quick update we've added support for `.h` and `.qml` file formats. `.vue` is in the works. :)
-
Hi @Meet Rathod 👋 Bitbucket PM here. Yup, this looks like a bug to me - I was able to duplicate the problem with the "Comment update" webhook trigger not firing. I'll pass this along to the appropriate team to investigate. I've filed a bug in our public issue tracker, which we'll update when the bug gets fixed:…
-
Hey @Aron Gombas, long time no talk! Thanks for the thoughts about the color scheme. We may make some tweaks based on the feedback we hear, so please let me know if there's anything else that feels off.
-
@Victor Ripplinger Glad to hear it! And thanks for pointing out `.h` files - it was an oversight and we can easily add support for those.
-
Hey @Matt Cohen 👋 Also note that public status pages have a REST API you can access by appending `/api` to the status page URL. For example: https://confluence.status.atlassian.com/api In your case, you'd probably want the `/summary` endpoint: https://confluence.status.atlassian.com/api/v2/summary.json Which returns output…

Hey @Pete Capra 👋 It's Dave with the Compass product team. You're doing everything right! It's just that you've encountered a case where our marketing images are slightly outpacing what we've implemented in the product. Currently, events such as deployments are represented as a single point on the activity timeline. In the…
-
@Ben Wozniak No timeline yet :) But I've made a note of your interest and will keep you posted when dates get more definite. In the meantime, if you'd ever like to chat live about Compass and share more of how it could be valuable for your team, please feel free to book a slot on my calendar:…
-
Hey @Ben Wozniak 👋 Great to hear that you see the potential in Compass, especially when it's connected to source control. We do intend to add support for Azure DevOps in the future, and you're not the first person who's asked! Out of curiosity, are you using it for build/test/deploy as well as source control?
